Fabric is redolent of personal history, of the rhythms, joys, and sorrows of everyday life.  Year in and year out, day in and day out, we cover our bodies and drape our homes with weaves, patterns, and textures -materials that both mask and reveal our identities and embody our hopes, aspirations, and insecurities.

The meditative process of cutting, fraying, gluing, and stitching offers a chance to relive one's own and others' daily histories; the joining of disparate and often incongruous fragments offers an opportunity to create new beauty and new meaning out of faded experiences, old hurts, and hopes long lost.

I'd love to hear from you.  Works are available for commission or purchase.
